What is Authority?

Expertise: How experienced/educated someone is.
Competence: How skilled someone is.
Credibility: How trustworthy someone is.

Assess Authority

Lateral Reading: Investigate the author's credentials and other work.
Domain: Consider the domain (.edu,.gov, .com).
Reviews: Examine professional reviews, responses, and rebuttals.
