Wrap-Up
When engaging with a new source of information, remember to Stop, Investigate the source itself, Find better coverage, and Trace non-original content back to the original source.
While reading a source, try to understand the author’s perspective and reflect on how it may or may not be different from your own. Watch for indicators of conscious and unconscious bias on the part of the author and/or sponsor, as well as any logical fallacies in the content.
These strategies will ensure that you are thoughtfully consuming new information and claims.
