Let the assignment type guide the types of information you look for when researching.

For a simple report, you may only need Background information, some Exhibits/Evidence, and possibly a Method/Theory to frame the paper.

For an analytical or argumentative paper, you will likely also need to engage with some Arguments made by others.

You will strengthen your thesis and create an engaging paper by being intentional about how you incorporate sources into your paper,
